What's been going on lately...
Not a whole lot of Blog worthy things have been going on lately... I also decided to no longer carry internet on my cell phone, so any pictures I take on there, I have to then hook it up to the computer, then I can put them on here. So it's just a couple extra steps, that I usually don't have time for... Don't worry, for my 5 Year anniversary with Pier 1, I am getting a new digital camera, and I will be able to take a lot more pictures. I know some of you have been getting after me to get some up of the updates we have been doing to our house. There has been a lot going on in that department. I am so happy to say, we are almost done with our projects on the inside... Jeff if you are reading this, I said ALMOST done... :) He has been such a trooper, along with my father in-law Steve. They both have been so great in getting our house to where we want it to be. I know the house wouldn't be where it is today without either of them.. So I will get some of those pictures up once I get my new camera, and get everything figured out with it.. There are times when I wished I had just bought a new house, where I didn't have to change a thing... But really at the end of the day, I am happy that we've been able to make this our own. Also, Jeff has been able to learn so much from his Dad, the other day I came home and he had fixed the toilet all by himself, it was the greatest thing! He makes me so proud, with how far he has come... Don't get me wrong, we are still going to need some help... :)

Wow, Jeff you actually fixed the toilet?? Impressive =). That is one thing I miss about buying a home 2,000 miles away from my dad - he can't come help us fix it! However, I have been known to tell Brad, "Oh we will fix that when my dad is here." Or "We will put in central air when my dad comes into to town" I will soon have a "to do" list for him when he takes a vacation!! Heaven help him =)

Exactly what you describe about your dad coming to Utah to fix everything up is what Pop and I have been doing for years at all our kid's houses.
Pop once tried to go through the metal detector at the airport with giant wrenches in his pocket.Aunt Carol's water heater was acting up and Superdad was on his way to fix it....
I'm proud of Jeff for being able to fix the toilet. Good for him.I guess he is a chip off the old BLOCKS! Pop and Steve.

That is funny with Pop and the tools. Every Christmas my dad buys Brad a new tool (he has quite the collection now). I think Dad does it because he knows those tools will be here when he needs them so he doesn't need to go through the metal detector with them :)
I agree with Julie, that story is too funny, I can picture it in my head. Don't worry Julie, I make a list too, well it's really for Jeff, but I think he makes it a shared list... :)
Congrats on the progress on your house. We can't wait to see it. Missing you both.
